Revit Assignment
PROJECT 1
This project one involves the production of Revit model of the selected architecture design using Architectural Components such as Wall, Roof, Stairs, Floor, Curtain Wall, Doors and Windows. At the end of the project, the model shall be used to generate documentation drawings, using Revit Architecture’s Documentation Components such as Sheets, Titleblock, Sections, Room Tags, Schedule & etc.
TASKS & METHODOLOGY
1. Based on the selected architectural design, we have to generate a Revit model. The model must be compliant with LOD 200 requirements
2. Our Revit model must include at least TWO Revit Family components.
3. We are required to create a blog or Facebook album for public access. The Work in Progress (WIP) print screens must be uploaded to the above online platform REGULARLY to show progressive evidence of the working process.
Architectural Drawings Documentation
1. Using the Revit model from Project 1, we are required to prepare building documentation drawings in A1 size containing the following components:
ï‚· Plans
ï‚· Elevations
ï‚· 2 Sections
ï‚· 2 Callouts on sections
ï‚· 1 Exploded isometric
ï‚· 1 Room Schedule showing area tabulation
From the above, you will be able to see the difference of my project's floor plan from week one to the submission week, it started out from only the basic layout of the floor plan as you can see from the left to becoming a complete floor plan with grid, dimensions and legends labeled on it.
For this part, it will be the progress for my project 1 in a 3D View instead of other views, as you can see from the left to the right following the sequences , i started constructing my entire project from a flat surface, which is my floor plan, then slowly into drawing out the walls of my house and lastly the interior walls of it for the ground floor. The curtain walls was then added after all the layout of the wall has been done. Next, after i did all the work for the walls, i then started to put in the 2 families that i did, which i chose the glass door that you will be able to see from the pic on the left which is located at the balcony and also the louver where its located at the powder room at ground floor, doors and windows in the rev library were then added. Lastly, i did the roofing and also not to leave out the toposurface and also my site component. To look a more detail copy of my work . The below is an attached copy of pdf for my floor plans, sections , elevations , exploded isometric and etc. Thank You.
Rendering assignment
In this part of the page, i will be talking or showing you about my renderings where i was taught how to used 3Ds max - a rendering software to do it. FYI, the things i'll be rendering is the model that i personally created using the Autodesk Revit software few weeks back. Not to mention that i will also be showing you my rendering progress and also some breif explanation about it.
The picture above was took when i learned about things like how to add various materials to my model, things like roof tiles, celling , flooring and etc. Furthermore, the picture of the left was one of the final outcome after what i learned and as you can see that i did this rendering in human eye perspective. Next , i will be showing you about some of my examples for interior renderings without explanations as everything was pretty much the same except the lighting, which we need to add it on separately through any view we feel comfortable with, not leaving out the background and planes that were taught by my lecturer.
Living Room and also the Bird Eye Exterior View
Skipping the basic part where i learned the basics, the first thing i was taught in order to start my assignments was the process of how to export my file from Revit and from there import into 3Ds max. Then leading to the setting of sun path which i did it through Revit and to add a camera for rendering purposes. From the picture on the left you will be able to see clearly where did i place my camera and also the sunpath whereas from the picture below, you will be able to see clearly where was my camera located through the four different views.
