Reflections

Before proceeding to the making of our group final video, i've decided to write a short reflection for the power point slides and the essays that i've submitted. Firstly, I was given the task of writing an essay related to art movement and also a movie that contains it. Well, the movie i chose for that particular movie is called 'Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them', the art movement involved is surrealism and the reason i chose the movie is because since young, i was always attracted and curious about how did the director of these kinds of movie manage to successfully bring out these characters/creatures. Therefore, for the 2nd stage before creating my final proposal i've made the decision of choosing the topic about how can surrealism actually influences we people. For example, by watching surrealism based movies, it allow children at a younger age to imagine things that ain't realistic,providing them a short getaway from the reality, getting away from exams, assignments and etc.Furthermore, after getting feedback from my lecturer for the previous 2 assignments,in the process of creating the final proposal before creating the video, we were to split into teams before starting the making of it or even the proposal.As my group partner(Dong Yong) topic was a little different compare to mine, he chose expressionism.Hence, we have decide to go with my topic but make some minor changes to our proposal,the title we had both came on a agreement was 'How can art movement related based movie influences us?', the reason behind this was although the art movement for both of us are slightly different, but both of us have mutual thoughts of how these types of movie be brought out and also how an amazing factor it is that it can be use to change the thinking of people, leading to positive/negative effects to the economy. In conclusion,the directions we are working towards is to create a short documentary , basically to interview a few of my lecturers and probably friends about their thoughts of our topic.
